We conduct research and education within the areas of laser-based combustion diagnostics and chemical modeling of combustion phenomena. We are a separate division and are part of the Department of Physics at Lund University. Description Combustion Physics is since 2001 located in the Enoch Thulin-laboratory at the Physics Department. The general aim of the activity is to increase the basic understanding of combustion processes through experimental as well as theoretical research. In the area of Combustion Physics, methods of measurement; mainly laser diagnostics, are being developed and used to determine the quality of and conditions for example temperature, concentrations in various combustion processes.
